Welcome

Welcome to Andalusia, Illinois.....a small  riverfront community of approximately 1100 people. The small town atmosphere is a great place to live and safely raise your children.

Andalusia is located in one of the area's finest school districts-Rockridge Community School District #300 whose philosophy is to develop the youth into educated and active citizens. The School Board's objective is to provide an educational environment which will allow for the individual interests and needs of the students as well as being sensitive to the parents demands and expectations.

Andalusia is also a volunteer community. The ambulance service and fire department function solely on the dedication of many fine volunteers. They provide these services with the highest degree of training available and work with surrounding communities to provide the protection needed.

A few years ago, Andalusia chose to eliminate the locally hired police department and employ the services of the Rock Island County Sheriff's Dept. The Andalusia Substation as it is now known, is home for a full time Sheriff's Deputy(s) with the support of the entire County Sheriff's Dept. behind them.

In addition, Andalusia is a growing community.  Currently there are three new housing additions with a fourth one in development. Fancy Creek Crossing, Phase I is a very upscale addition, Wildacres addition has been developed in a wooded area, Liberty Park is being developed near the river and the newest development, Fancy Creek Crossing, Phase II is being developed as a beautiful wooded hillside addition.

Andalusia has it's own bank and many other businesses, whatever your needs, both locally and in the surrounding areas.

For your summer relaxation, you can enjoy our parks, boating and even do a little fishing.  During the winter months you can bundle up and do some downhill skiing.  Located just minutes away from the Greater Quad Cities, there is always something to do whether it be shopping, movies, performing arts or visiting one of the casinos in the area.  In addition, Andalusia and the surrounding areas have many wonderful annual events for you and the family to enjoy.

Come check us out, we look forward to seeing you.
